Capua, €5 worth of cosmetics stolen: 24-year-old woman reported by Carabinieri

The Carabinieri of Capua have reported a 24-year-old woman, resident in the province of Salerno, at large, as being seriously suspected of aggravated theft, which occurred on the morning of September 29th in a pharmacy in Capua.

Surveillance video footage revealed the movements of the suspect, who stole cosmetics and hid them in the backpack. The value of the stolen goods was estimated at approximately €5.000.

Around 10:30 a.m., on Via Fuori Porta Roma, the alleged perpetrator allegedly took several cosmetics from the shelf and hid them in her backpack. The shop owner attempted to stop her, but the woman left the shop, crossed the street, and got into a Toyota Yaris driven by a man, who then fled without a trace.

Investigations ongoing

The investigation, conducted by the Capua Carabinieri Station, acquired recorded footage and gathered testimonies to reconstruct the entire incident. The examination of these elements revealed the 24-year-old's whereabouts, and she was reported at large to the judicial authorities. Efforts are continuing to identify any accomplices, including the person who drove the getaway car.

The proceedings are in the preliminary investigation phase and the suspect's responsibility will have to be ascertained with a final sentence.
