Anas' investments in Campania, including planning, are worth €4,5 billion. Of this, approximately €550 million is earmarked for scheduled maintenance of the regional network. The figures were presented by the company's CEO, Claudio Andrea Gemme, during a keynote address at the University of Naples Federico II.
According to Gemme, these resources are aimed at improving the condition of the road network, with the stated goal of enhancing infrastructure safety and ensuring greater efficiency and continuity for citizens and businesses.
In Campania, Anas manages approximately 1.500 kilometers of roads, a network that the CEO described as characterized by particularly complex traffic flows. The plan involves some of the region's most strategic axes: the 145 Sorrentina and the 163 Amalfitana, between the provinces of Naples and Salerno; the Avellino 2 motorway link; the 372 Telesina state road between Benevento and Caserta; and the 18 Tirrena state road.
The portion allocated to scheduled maintenance represents the operational core of the plan: interventions that concern the safety and improvement of existing infrastructure, in a region where coastal roads, metropolitan traffic, and internal arteries present very different needs.
