Anti-drug raid in Case Nuove
Naples – A 28-year-old man was arrested by the State Police on charges of possession with intent to distribute narcotics. The operation began in Piazza Capuana, in the Case Nuove neighborhood, when officers from the Vicaria-Mercato Police Station observed a man handing something to another individual in exchange for money.
The officers immediately intervened to interrupt the alleged exchange and detained both men. Three packages of cocaine/crack, a package of heroin, and €15 in cash were found on the 28-year-old, who was later arrested. The buyer, however, was in possession of the same amount he had just purchased.
The man was arrested and handed over to the judicial authorities, while the buyer was fined for illegal possession of narcotics intended for personal use.
