Avellino, new case of dog killing: appeal to those who know to speak up

A one-year-old mixed-breed puppy named Duke was found dead in a chestnut grove in Polveriera, in the municipality of Monteforte Irpino in the province of Avellino. According to the local volunteer association Ciotole piena, Pance felici, represented by Paola De Nardo, his death dates back to last Sunday.

The incident prompted Piera Rosati, president of Lndc Animal Protection, to appeal to law enforcement to reveal the identity of the perpetrator and ensure justice is brought.

Rosati also asked to verify whether there are connections with other brutal episodes against mixed-breed dogs that occurred in 2024 in the same area: in Monteforte Irpino, where Nathan was killed by a gunshot while he was walking with his owners, and in Montemiletto, in the Montaperto hamlet, where another dog was found hanged from a tree.
