San Giorgio a Cremano: Hundreds of counterfeit items seized; 55-year-old man reported
Hundreds of items of clothing, including cashmere sweaters, designer jackets, and trousers: this is what the Carabinieri found in an apartment in San Giorgio a Cremano during a search.
The garments, all price-tagned, were likely counterfeit, and the man in possession of them was unable to produce the necessary accounting documentation to prove their legitimate origin.
The owner of the home, a 55-year-old, opened the door to the officers. Investigations revealed that the man had been selling the goods both door-to-door and through online platforms.
The Carabinieri ordered the seizure of the entire batch of items.
The 55-year-old was charged with receiving stolen goods and introducing and selling products with false markings into the country.
