Scampia is preparing to transform into a major public stronghold against organized crime. Tomorrow, Thursday, October 8th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., "Napoli Città Anticamorra" (Naples, Anti-Camorra City) will be held, an initiative promoted by the Presidency of the City Council and the Department of Legality of the City of Naples.
The demonstration will be a march open to schools of all levels, universities, third sector organizations, trade unions, associations, volunteer organizations, sports and cultural organizations, as well as all citizens.
The procession will depart at 10:00 a.m. from Largo della Cittadinanza Attiva and pass through the neighborhood, passing by Le Vele, before reaching Piazza Giovanni Paolo II, where a moment of reflection will be shared with institutional representatives. The march will conclude with a musical performance by the A67 group, an event designed to combine participation, remembrance, and civic engagement.
Councilor for Legal Affairs Antonio De Iesu, City Councilor Catello Maresca, and President of the Eighth Municipality Nicola Nardella will be present. City Council President Enza Amato will participate via video message.
The initiative aims to bring a cross-party mobilization to the heart of Scampia, bringing together institutions, young people, and citizens to reaffirm the value of legality and participation in the fight against organized crime.
