Naples, delays on high-speed trains: inconvenience for commuters

High-speed trains are experiencing serious delays this morning along the entire North-South line. A freight train derailed overnight in Florence Castello, blocking the Florence-Bologna railway line. To avoid congestion, high-speed trains are not departing. There has been a chemical spill, requiring safety measures in the area.

All the commuters who showed up at the stations early this morning, including those at Naples Central Station, received the unpleasant news of the severe delays of trains that were initially announced as being around thirty minutes but as time went by, they have already reached over an hour in some cases.

Many inconveniences and protests especially for those who should have arrived early to work. The staff of the state railways has announced that they are working to restore the line.
