Drugs and a gun at home, Carabinieri arrest 22-year-old in Pozzuoli

During a routine patrol, Carabinieri officers from the local company's operations unit intercepted Andrea Nastri Giogli, a 22-year-old man already known to law enforcement, while he was walking along Via Lucilio. After a personal search, the young man was found in possession of 10 grams of cocaine, prompting the officers to extend the search to his home.

In the 22-year-old's apartment, the Carabinieri discovered another 60 grams of the same drug, as well as a 9mm pistol with the serial number erased and ammunition ready for use. In particular, the pistol's magazine contained 10 bullets, a sign that the weapon was ready for use.

Andrea Nastri Giogli was arrested on charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of dealing and illegal possession of a clandestine weapon. The seized gun will now be subjected to ballistic and fingerprint tests to determine whether it was used in previous episodes of violence or other crimes.
