Disco Shooting: Alleged Killer Arrested

The Carabinieri of Bari have arrested a person suspected of involvement in the murder of Antonia Lopez, the 19-year-old killed during an ambush on the night between Saturday and Sunday at the Bahia Beach in Molfetta.
According to the investigation, the main target of the hitmen was the victim's friend, Eugenio Palermiti, a twenty-year-old linked to a well-known clan in the Japigia district of Bari.
Palermiti was injured along with three other people. The investigation is coordinated by the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Bari.
During the ambush , the suspect allegedly pulled out a pistol and fired seven shots. One of them hit Antonia Lopez in the shoulder, severing her aorta and causing her death from hemorrhagic shock within minutes.
