They blow up an ATM, but escape empty-handed

Attempted theft at the ATM at the Montecorvino Rovella post office in the province of Salerno.

In the early hours of yesterday morning, around 5:30, a group of people blew up the ATM in an attempt to steal the money inside.

However, the rapid intervention of the local police station's carabinieri and the Radiomobile military prevented the theft, forcing the criminals to flee without any loot.

The post office is currently unusable due to structural damage from the explosion.

Yesterday the Carabinieri examined the images from the institute's video surveillance cameras to establish the exact dynamics of the event and how many people participated and therefore try to identify them.
