Relais Regina Giovanna, a journey through history and nature in a cultural walk in Sorrento

Relais Regina Giovanna – A day dedicated to rediscovering the territory and natural beauty: this is the experience lived by the participants of Sorrento Walks, which led them to the suggestive Relais Regina Giovanna for an immersion in the history and breathtaking landscapes of Sorrento. Thanks to the warm welcome of Gianluca Picone, owner of the relais and CEO of the Royal Group Hotels & Resorts, the event was transformed into a memorable walk through enchanted gardens and fascinating archaeological finds, all enriched by an exceptional special guide.

Promoted by the Municipality of Sorrento in collaboration with Penisolaverde and organized by Giuliana De Angelis, this initiative is just one of the stages of the Sorrento Walks project, which aims to enhance the historical, natural and gastronomic heritage of the Sorrento Peninsula. During the event, the President of the Sorrento City Council, Luigi Di Prisco, underlined the importance of the synergy with private entities such as the one represented by Picone, expressing satisfaction for a collaboration that aims to rediscover authentic traditions and flavors: “The participation of Gianluca Picone, who acted as our guide, was a perfect example of how the involvement of local businesses can strengthen the bond with the territory, promoting sustainable and conscious tourism”.

The day ended with a tasting of local bread and oil, a tribute to the Sorrento culinary tradition that gave participants a taste of the genuine flavors of the Campania region. The next appointment of Sorrento Walks is scheduled for November 10, with an excursion along the path that connects Sorrento to Massa Lubrense and a visit to a farm in Priora, where it will be possible to rediscover the ancient agricultural roots of the territory. An invitation to all those who want to approach Sorrento with a more authentic and profound look, between nature, history and tradition.
