Mural for Santo Romano in Villaricca is ready

The mural for the young Santo Romano will be inaugurated in Villaricca on February 13th, at the Ada Negri State Secondary School in via della libertà 20

The association “Idee e Concretezza” pays homage to Santo Romano, a young man shot dead by a 17-year-old in San Sebastiano al Vesuvio on the night of November 2nd last year, for having defended a friend of his who had stepped on an expensive shoe.

This initiative is promoted by the president Salvatore Mautone of the Association “Idee e Concretezza”, together with the collaborators of the Association, and with the participation of the young Luigi Barbato with the collaboration of the artist “Gennaro Fioretti”, who will be committed to the creation of the Mural.

On the occasion of the event, the following will be invited: Mena De Mare, the mother of Santo Romano, the mayor of the municipality of Villaricca "Francesco Gaudieri", the authorities and institutions of the territory.

An awareness-raising event to remember Santo Romano. "This initiative," explains Vice President Giulio De Rosa in a statement, "aims to say 'Enough violence,' to raise hopes for a peaceful society and to prevent murders like Santo's from ever happening again." The mural will be painted in the schoolyard, thanks to the strong support of the principal of the "Ada Negri" school, Caterina Pennacchio.

The Association once again pays homage to the young Santo Romano as it happened last December 18, 2024 at the Villaricca sports hall. The president confirms the maximum support for Santo's family to ensure that what Santo was is never forgotten".
