Naples - A life cut short at just twenty-four years old, in the silence and agony of an intensive care unit. This is the tragedy at the center of the investigation opened by the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office into the death of Francesca Tucci, who died last July 3 at Cardarelli Hospital.

The young woman had undergone surgery performed in-person. What should have been a safe treatment, however, turned into an inexplicable tragedy, prompting her family to immediately file a complaint to shed light on the girl's final hours.

The filing of the expert report and the accusations

The judicial breakthrough has just come with the official filing of the autopsy report, the crucial technical document awaited by investigators to reconstruct the clinical causes of death. The investigation, coordinated by Deputy Prosecutor Mario Canale, is no longer moving within the realm of abstract hypotheses: three doctors are now under investigation, all facing charges of manslaughter.

This is a necessary but crucial step, which will allow the consultants for the parties and the Prosecutor's Office to analyze in detail any responsibilities, omissions, or complications incorrectly managed during or after the surgery.
