Avellino – Two people have ended up in the sights of justice for extortion aggravated by threats with firearms.
I Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi have executed a precautionary measure order against two individuals, one of whom was already under special surveillance, considered to be seriously suspected of the crime of aggravated extortion in conjunction with two other accomplices, currently under investigation at large and subject to a search.
The order was issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Avellino at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, which coordinated the investigations conducted by the military of the Lioni Station. The investigative activities arose from the complaint filed by a young man, victim of a request extortionate of 13.000 euro.
According to what has emerged, the main suspect would have threatened the boy even with a gun to get the money. Fundamental, for the purposes of the investigation, were the elements collected by the Carabinieri: among these, the analysis of the money flows in current accounts registered to third parties, the viewing of video surveillance images and the statements made by people informed of the facts.
The cross-checking of evidence has strengthened the accusatory framework against the recipients of the precautionary measure, outlining a planned extortion action conducted with particularly serious intimidating methods. The investigations continue to define the responsibilities of the other subjects involved.
