Napoli rejects the allegations surrounding the wiretaps published by Repubblica regarding the transfer of Victor Osimhen . In an official statement, the club's defense team—composed of lawyers Gino Fabio Fulgeri, Gaetano Scalise, and Lorenzo Contrada—expresses its "astonishment" at the disclosure of investigative documents that, by law, should have remained confidential, denouncing a "violation of the principles of defense protection and confidentiality."
According to the lawyers, the content of the conversations that ended up in the newspapers was "atomically extrapolated from a much broader context, which, if read in its entirety, reveals only the physiological dialectic of a normal market negotiation, devoid of any criminally relevant aspects."
The lawyers also point out that the interlocutors cited in the wiretaps have already been interviewed by public prosecutors as persons informed of the facts, providing "specific and convincing explanations, such as to exclude any evidentiary value from the reported statements." The case regarding the capital gains on the Osimhen purchase continues to be controversial, but Napoli's defense reiterates: " There was no illicit plan, just a transfer transaction managed in full compliance with the rules."
