At the Diana Theater, the fifth edition of the Umberto Bellissimo Award celebrates the unforgettable Neapolitan actor and singer, combining emotion and culture in an event open to all.

Naples Recalls the Soul of Umberto Bellissimo in an Evening of Art and Memory
Naples prepares to honor one of its most authentic and beloved voices: Umberto Bellissimo. On Wednesday, May 13th, at 8:30 pm, the Teatro Diana will host the fifth edition of the award dedicated to him, an evening that promises to revive the memory of an artist capable of elegantly and profoundly traversing theater, music, film, and television.
Ten years after his passing, Bellissimo remains a living presence in the hearts and memories of the city, embodying the essence of Neapolitan talent, humanity, and passion for art. The free event is the result of the dedication of his wife, Paola De Marco Bellissimo, and the association that bears his name, chaired by Gianni Conte, with the collaboration of a team of enthusiasts who have worked for years to keep his legacy alive.
The Diana Theater, located in the heart of Vomero, will be transformed into a place of emotion and memories, welcoming artistic figures who will be recognized for their contributions to Neapolitan culture. Among the honorees are renowned names such as Gigi and Ross, Benedetto Casillo, Giovanni Mauriello, and the Union of Historic Neapolitan Pizzerias "Le Centenarie." The awards, signed by sculptor Salvatore Oliva, symbolize the connection between the past and present of the local cultural scene.
The evening will be hosted by journalist and theater critic Giuseppe Giorgio and actress and presenter Mirea Flavia Stellato. The evening will feature the presence of Bellissimo's colleagues and friends, including Gianni Conte, Patrizio Trampetti, Antonella Morea, Rosaria De Cicco, and Gaetano Liguori, as well as the musical group Paese Mio Bello.
Umberto Bellissimo was an irreplaceable figure on the Neapolitan stage, performing masterpieces under the guidance of great maestros such as Eduardo De Filippo. His film and television career made him a well-known and beloved face, while his passion for traditional Neapolitan music allowed him to capture the soul of the city with sensitivity and authenticity.
This evening will not only be an award, but a true tribute to the memory and art of a man who, like few others, combined talent and humanity. An opportunity to rediscover, amidst music and applause, the kindness and smile of Umberto Bellissimo, as if the Teatro Diana stage had never stopped waiting for him.
