Naples – A new hope is ignited in the Scampia neighborhood. On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, a property confiscated from organized crime, located at Via Roma, Scampia 110, will be inaugurated. It will be returned to the community to become a hub of legality, culture, and social participation.

The initiative, titled "The Power of Good," represents a concrete example of urban regeneration and the fight against illegality, promoted by the "Tessitori di Bene" project. This project, funded by the CON IL SUD Foundation as part of the 2023 Notice on Assets Confiscated from the Mafia, is led by the Città Nuova ETS Foundation and involves partners such as L'Orsa Maggiore Cooperativa Sociale, the Chi Rom e Chi No ONLUS Association, and the Jorit Foundation.

The multipurpose center, designed for young people and families, will offer activities and services dedicated to fostering inclusion and providing concrete solutions to the neighborhood's needs, thus becoming a hub for the local community. The handover ceremony will be a significant institutional event, with the participation of local authorities and representatives of the organizations involved, underscoring the symbolic and tangible value of this transformation.

A strong signal demonstrating how synergy between institutions, the voluntary sector, and citizens can restore dignity and a future to an area often plagued by crime.
