School accommodations illegally occupied: 11 complaints and illegal electricity connections in Caserta schools.

A widespread operation in the service accommodations attached to the schools in the province of Caserta The investigation resulted in eleven reports, fifteen people being identified, and one apartment being immediately vacated. The Provincial Police inspections, coordinated by Commander Colonel Biagio Chiariello, targeted six apartments originally intended for school custodians in the municipalities of Caserta, Santa Maria Capua Vetere, Alife, Piedimonte Matese, and Aversa.

The operation is part of the plan to recover and protect the institution's heritage, promoted by President Anacleto Colombiano and developed in collaboration with the Heritage Sector, headed by Teresa Ricciardiello.

Who occupied the accommodations and for how long

The investigation revealed an unequivocal picture: the apartments were apparently occupied by relatives and in-laws of former caretakers who had died years earlier, with no legal justification for their stay. None of them paid rent or compensation to the owner. A total of fifteen people were identified in five of the inspected apartments; the sixth property was vacated and locked on site.

Free electricity and water: illegal connections to school utilities

The investigations revealed alleged illegal connections to the schools' electricity and water networks, with the entire bill being passed on to public buildings. This direct economic damage to the schools and, consequently, to the community is now being investigated by the relevant authorities.

Minors, a pregnant woman, and an aggressive dog

The sanitary conditions found in several homes were described by officials as "particularly critical." Five minors and a pregnant woman were present inside, prompting immediate notifications to the local health authority, social services, and veterinary services.

At one of the sites, officers proceeded with caution due to the presence of numerous dogs, one of which was aggressive. Veterinarians who intervened found irregularities in the custody of one animal, which was taken from its owner.

Seven registered cars and owned homes: the issue of public subsidies

Perhaps the most shocking aspect of the entire operation concerns the financial situation of the occupants. The registry and asset checks revealed cases of individuals who already owned other residential properties. In one particularly significant case, an occupant was found to be the registered owner of seven vehicles. All the information collected is now being examined by the relevant authorities, also to determine whether they were receiving any undue benefits and public support measures.

The complaints

At the end of the operation, eleven reports were filed for illegal occupation of properties and other alleged crimes. At the same time, administrative procedures were initiated to clear the still-occupied apartments and restore them to the provincial school system.
