Aversa, 21-year-old man arrested for assaulting doctor, nurse, and security guard in the emergency room.

A tense morning erupted at the emergency room of the "G. Moscati" hospital in Aversa, where a 21-year-old man was arrested by the Carabinieri after assaulting a doctor, a nurse, and a security guard on duty in the emergency room.

The intervention of the Lusciano Station soldiers was necessary to restore calm within the department, which had been the scene of moments of great tension.

The argument that arose after the medical examination

According to the Carabinieri's reconstruction, the 21-year-old, already known to law enforcement, reacted violently to the doctor's assessment. The young man claimed to have been injured with a knife, but the medical staff's clinical examinations did not confirm the reported injury.

The protest quickly escalated into a physical assault involving the medical director, a nurse, and the security guard who intervened in an attempt to restrain the man.

Three injured and complaint filed

The three victims were immediately treated at the same hospital. They suffered multiple bruises and abrasions, which were estimated to heal in ten, ten, and fifteen days, respectively.
All of them filed a formal complaint against the attacker.

Arrested by the Carabinieri

The Carabinieri officers stopped the young man and arrested him in flagrante delicto on charges of aggravated personal injury, damage to property, and disruption of public service.
Following the completion of the formal procedures, by order of the judicial authorities, the 21-year-old was placed under house arrest at his home, where he will remain pending trial under a fast-track procedure.

It remains firm that the proceedings are in the preliminary investigation phase and that the suspect must be presumed innocent until a final conviction is issued.
