Campania experiences another heatwave. Temperatures are up to 5 degrees above average, with nighttime humidity reaching 80%.

Naples – The Campania Region is preparing to face another African heatwave. The Civil Protection Functional Center has issued a heatwave warning that will go into effect at 12:00 noon tomorrow, Thursday, July 30, and will remain in effect until 12:00 noon on Sunday, August 2.

According to forecasts, maximum temperatures could exceed seasonal averages by 4-5 degrees Celsius. The situation will be further aggravated by high humidity, which will reach 70-80% at night, amid virtually no ventilation. These conditions will increase physical discomfort, especially for the most vulnerable.

Precisely for this reason, the warning is accompanied by a series of clear recommendations: stay indoors during the hottest hours of the day, avoid direct exposure to the sun, limit car travel, and suspend outdoor activities. The appeal is particularly directed at heart patients, the elderly, children, and individuals at risk. Regular ventilation is recommended, staying hydrated by drinking water, and paying special attention to pets.
