Caserta, a bilirubinometer donated to the Neonatology Unit thanks to volunteers.

This morning, the Sant'Anna and San Sebastiano Hospital in Caserta received a transcutaneous bilirubinometer, a fundamental tool for the early diagnosis of bilirubin in newborns, for its Neonatology Unit with Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The precious device was donated thanks to the joint efforts of the Lions Club Caserta Villa Reale New Century, Ridiamo Insieme – Clown dell'arte, and AutoMotoClub Storico Normanno. The donation was made possible thanks to the proceeds from the "Raduniamoci in Allegria" charity event, held in April, which featured a colorful parade of vintage cars and motorcycles, including a stop at the hospital.

The award ceremony was held at the General Management Office, with the participation of General Manager Gennaro Volpe, Director of the Maternal and Child Care Department Italo Bernardo, and representatives of the associations involved, including Eugenio Riccardelli for the Lions Club and Salvatore Vitale for Ridiamo Insieme, which provides clown therapy in the pediatric and geriatric wards.

Director General Volpe emphasized the importance of solidarity as a driver of community growth and thanked the associations for their contributions, highlighting how constructive dialogue between the hospital and volunteers represents an opportunity to improve the services offered and the reception of patients, thus strengthening the bond with the community.
