Castellabate inaugurates the "A Mare Tutti" inclusive beach for people with disabilities.

Following the success of the pilot phase that began last summer, the Municipality of Castellabate, in collaboration with the S8 Area Plan, has officially reopened the inclusive beach "A Mare Tutti" for the 2026 summer season. The initiative aims to ensure free and safe access to the sea for people with disabilities, promoting a barrier-free environment. The service will be available until September 15th on the "Scario" beach, along the Punta dell'Inferno seafront, in the Santa Maria district.

The beach will be open during two daily time slots, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 16:00 pm to 20:00 pm, with mandatory reservations via a dedicated app. Each user will be able to make up to three reservations per week, ensuring equal access for as many people as possible. Up to five people with disabilities will be able to use the service at the same time, each accompanied by a family member or caregiver.

The area is equipped with a JOB chair with seatbelts and armrests to facilitate movement in the water, five umbrellas, eight lounge chairs, and a dedicated walkway for easy access to the beach. Qualified staff will also be on hand to welcome, assist, and inform users.

Castellabate Mayor Marco Rizzo emphasized the importance of this initiative: "Continuing and strengthening the 'A Mare Tutti' project means continuing a concrete path of inclusion and breaking down barriers. We want our sea to truly be a heritage accessible to all, guaranteeing dignity, autonomy, and equal opportunities."

Councilor for Social Policies Marianna Carbutti added: "Inclusion is built through concrete actions. This beach represents a fundamental opportunity for people with disabilities and their families, who can enjoy the sea in complete safety and serenity. I thank the S8 Area Plan and all the operators involved for their commitment."
