

A moment of the checks
The Italian State Police has concluded a large-scale operation to combat youth crime, involving 44 Italian provinces, including Naples and Caserta. A total of 539 people were arrested or detained: 492 adults and 47 minors.
The operation, conducted with the help of over a thousand operators, targeted phenomena related to child gangs, drug dealing, crimes against persons and property, possession of weapons, and receiving stolen goods.
Reports and checks
In addition to the arrests and detentions, 791 adults and 163 minors were reported at large. The charges concern, to varying degrees, receiving stolen goods, possession of weapons and objects capable of causing offences, and possession of drugs for the purpose of dealing.
During the operation, 1.182 properties were inspected, including 24 reception facilities for unaccompanied foreign minors. Inspections were also conducted at 117 arcades, 543 commercial establishments, and key youth gathering places: squares, public gardens, areas near train stations, and shopping centers.
Furthermore, 506 administrative fines were imposed, especially for the use of narcotic substances and the supply of alcoholic beverages to minors.

Two kilograms of ketamine and approximately one thousand oxycodone pills were found. Additional quantities of shaboo, ecstasy, MDMA, and benzodiazepines were also found, as well as precision scales.
Forty-nine firearms, both short and long, with various calibers of ammunition, were seized. Officers also recovered 87 bladed weapons and 95 objects capable of causing harm, including stun guns, a baseball bat, a telescopic baton, a metal baton, pepper spray, box cutters, and burglary tools.
During the searches, goods believed to be stolen were also found, such as gold necklaces and cell phones, in addition to
307 thousand euros in cash.
A significant aspect of the investigation concerns the internet. Police identified 973 social media profiles that reportedly promoted hatred and physical violence, including against law enforcement officers.
The monitored content also contained references to the use of firearms and bladed weapons. Two profiles were reported to the competent judicial authorities for review.
In Viareggio, four young people, two of whom are minors, have been investigated at large for assault and failure to provide assistance following a violent attack on a man. The victim suffered a fractured femur, with a prognosis of
30 days.
In Milan, two minors, aged 15 and 17, were arrested on charges of aggravated robbery against a young woman. The incident occurred on the night of June 25th, on Via Torino.
In Rome, several participants in the damage that occurred near the Colosseum on July 1st have been identified. They are under investigation at large; during the searches, pyrotechnics, pepper spray, and a nunchaku-type weapon were seized.
