Naples: A 31-year-old man was arrested for dealing marijuana in the Vasto-Arenaccia neighborhood.
A 31-year-old man from Naples was arrested yesterday afternoon by officers from the Vasto-Arenaccia Police Station on charges of unlawful possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
During a local patrol, police caught the man exchanging a substance, presumably marijuana, for money in Vico Milano, on the corner of Vico Venezia. Officers immediately intervened and arrested the suspect, finding him in possession of 16 small bags containing a total of approximately 20 grams of marijuana and €90 in banknotes of various denominations.
Subsequently, a house search yielded 20 additional sachets of the same substance, weighing approximately 25 grams, as well as packaging materials. The man, already known to law enforcement for specific criminal convictions, was subsequently arrested and placed at the disposal of judicial authorities. This operation demonstrates the commitment of law enforcement to combating drug dealing in the city's neighborhoods.
