August 15th in Naples: Carabinieri carry out tight checks in the Vomero, Marianella, and San Carlo Arena neighborhoods.
During the Ferragosto holiday in Naples, law enforcement intensified patrols in the city's liveliest neighborhoods, particularly Vomero, Marianella, and San Carlo Arena. The Carabinieri of the Naples Vomero Company conducted a high-impact operation, focusing on road safety and combating widespread lawlessness.
The activities carried out in the early hours of the day resulted in 89 identified individuals and 62 vehicles being checked. During roadside checks, 20 traffic tickets were issued, with total fines exceeding €13.600. Eleven individuals were reported to the Prefecture for personal use of narcotics.
Four people were reported: two, a 39-year-old and a 17-year-old, for being caught driving without a license and with specific criminal records, a 46-year-old for illegally carrying a 23-centimeter-long knife, and a 15-year-old found in possession of burglary tools, accused of unauthorized possession of altered keys and lock picks.
The operation confirms the police's commitment to ensuring order and security during a period characterized by increased crowds and nighttime activity in Neapolitan neighborhoods.
