Casapesenna: 47-year-old arrested after marijuana grower in his home: over 9,5 kilos of drugs and 13 rounds of ammunition were seized.

A veritable greenhouse used for growing and drying marijuana was discovered by Carabinieri officers in Casapesenna during a house search. The operation, conducted by officers from the San Cipriano d'Aversa station, led to the arrest of a 47-year-old man, originally from and resident in Naples. He is currently under investigation and faces serious charges of cultivating, producing, drying, and illegally possessing narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.

The operation took place in the residential area of ​​Casapesenna. During the search, the officers focused primarily on the basement of the residence, where the facility used for drug production and processing was reportedly located.

Over nine kilos of marijuana

During the search, the Carabinieri located a locked cabinet. Inside were several jars, bags, and packages containing a total of 9,5176 kilograms of marijuana.
Material believed to be instrumental in the drug manufacturing process was also found in the same area. All the material was seized for further investigation.

 In the garden there are about 30 cannabis plants

The search was also extended to the residence's outbuildings. In the garden, officers found approximately 30 cannabis plants, all of which were found to be devoid of buds.
The investigations then also included other areas of the house. On the first floor, 13 12-gauge cartridges were found, which were apparently held without any title.
The 47-year-old was reported at large for the illegal possession of ammunition.

Transferred to the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere

At the conclusion of the operation, the man was arrested by the Carabinieri of the San Cipriano d'Aversa station. The judicial authorities were informed and he was transferred to the Santa Maria Capua Vetere prison.

The drugs, plants, materials used for cultivation and packaging, and ammunition were seized and will be subjected to the required investigations.

The operation is part of the Carabinieri's nationwide effort to control and combat drug trafficking, with particular attention to locations used for drug production, processing, and storage.

The proceedings are in the preliminary investigation phase: the suspect's responsibility will have to be determined with a final sentence.
