Fugitive Vincenzo Pagano, brother of the secessionist leader, arrested in Casavatore.

Casavatore – Vincenzo Pagano, sixty-two, better known as Scè Scè, but above all, superboss Cesare Pagano, one of the founders of the Secondigliano secessionist clan, remained on the run for only two months.

He hadn't left Casavatore. That's where the Carabinieri, coordinated by the Anti-Mafia Directorate, found him this afternoon. He was in an apartment on Via San Pietro.

Investigators followed several individuals who were providing for his fugitive status. He was being pursued by a precautionary warrant signed by investigating judge Gabriella Logozzo for attempted extortion, aggravated under Article 416-bis, along with Elpidio Patricelli (already in prison), son-in-law of Casavatore boss Ernesto Ferone.

He was incriminated by images from municipal security cameras, which showed him attacking two businessmen brothers to steal their Audi RS3. But there were also the interrogation records of three elite justice collaborators: Salvatore Roselli, Alessandro De Cicco, and Errico D'Ambrosio.

Salvatore Roselli's statements: "He took a monthly salary and didn't want any problems."

In the minutes of May 15, 2023, the repentant Roselli outlines Pagano's positioning within the Scissionisti organization chart:

“Among the free men there is also Vincenzo Pagano, known as sce sce, even if he does nothing for the clan, he gets a month's wages”.
A few months earlier, on February 23, 2023, Roselli had told DDA magistrates a sensational behind-the-scenes story about the clan's reorganization following the arrest of boss Domenico Antonio Amato. During an emergency summit in Casavatore, Pagano's name was put forward for leadership, precisely because of his blood relationship:

We talked about reorganizing the clan, speculating that Vincenzo Pagano could become the leader, since he carried the family name anyway… After just a week, Vincenzo backed out. In truth, I didn't really believe this story about the letter sent to Bisio (Claudio Cristiano) from 41 bis. He mentioned it to us, but I never saw it.

Pagano, in short, refused to expose the front line. A strategy confirmed by Roselli on April 5, 2023: "Vincenzo Pagano, known as Sce Sce, only took the monthly salary and didn't want to have any problems."
