The provincial police during the seizure
A completely illegal mechanical and mechatronics workshop, used as a warehouse for stolen car parts and as a site for the illegal dumping of hazardous waste. This is what officers from the Caserta Provincial Police discovered during a raid as part of extraordinary controls against environmental crimes in the so-called "Land of Fires."
The operation led to the precautionary seizure of a 100-square-meter facility, completely lacking the required permits. Inside, in addition to work equipment (also seized for confiscation), investigators found numerous components and spare parts of illicit origin.
The manager of the business, already known to the officers from previous checks conducted by Colonel Biagio Chiariello, ended up in trouble. The man was reported at large to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Caserta. The charges against him range from receiving stolen goods to environmental pollution.
In addition to the criminal implications, heavy administrative sanctions were imposed. The operator was charged with violations amounting to more than €10 for illegally operating an auto repair business, which was carried out without being registered with the Registry of Artisan Businesses. The operation is part of efforts to combat environmental crimes and the illicit activities that continue to affect the Caserta area.
