Casoria, attempted robbery: bandits shoot at a car

Casoria – Moments of fear erupted this afternoon, around 5:30 p.m., on Via Salvator Rosa, where an attempted robbery involving gunshots occurred.

Carabinieri from the Mobile Radio Unit responded to the scene, having been alerted following the incident. According to an initial and preliminary reconstruction, still under investigation by investigators, several criminals on a scooter allegedly pulled up alongside a car, threatening the driver with the aim of forcing him to stop.

The escape and the shooting

The driver, attempting to escape the robbery, allegedly maneuvered to break free and drive away. It was at that moment that the robbers allegedly fired two shots.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The Carabinieri have conducted on-site investigations and are reconstructing the precise details of the incident. Investigators are also examining any video surveillance footage in the area, which could provide useful information to identify those responsible.
