A massive deployment of law enforcement forces led to numerous arrests and charges in the Casoria shantytown, with vehicle seizures and coordinated interventions between the police, firefighters, and Enel technicians.

Major police operation in Casoria: 100 officers fight energy theft and urban decay.
Casoria – A high-impact operation saw approximately 100 State Police officers deployed in the municipality of Casoria, focusing on the local shantytown to combat illegal activity and degradation.
The operation, conducted by the Naples Police Headquarters with the assistance of the Flying Squad, the police stations of Afragola, Acerra, Frattamaggiore, Giugliano-Villaricca and Torre del Greco, also involved the Canine Units, the Forensic Police, the Campania Crime Prevention Unit and the IV Mobile Unit.
During the operation, numerous individuals were identified and 25 vehicles were checked, 10 of which were administratively seized for lack of insurance coverage. Law enforcement also arrested a man, a fugitive since 2017, serving two prison sentences. He will serve a sentence of one year and nine months for aggravated theft.
A crucial aspect of the effort was combating electricity theft. Thanks to collaboration with Enel technicians, 16 people were reported for unauthorized connections to the public grid, resulting in aggravated theft.
The operation, which involved the Casoria Local Police and the Fire Brigade, was monitored from above with the aid of a drone and a helicopter from the State Police's 6th Flight Unit, thus ensuring widespread control and greater effectiveness.
