Naples – A difficult night for passengers aboard the GNV Splendid, a ship stranded due to an air conditioning failure.

The departure, scheduled for 8:00 PM yesterday, was canceled at 1:00 AM this morning after the air conditioning system failed, making a comfortable and safe journey impossible. Approximately 200 of the 1.400 passengers on board chose to abandon the trip and leave the ship on their own, while the other 1.200 were transferred to the Polaris ship, which arrived in Naples at 6:00 AM this morning and departed for Palermo around 11:00 AM.

The company assured that all passengers involved will be entitled to refunds and assistance in accordance with current regulations. GNV expressed deep regret for the incident, emphasizing that the safety and well-being of passengers remains its priority and thanking the crew and authorities for their handling of the situation.
