A fire engulfed the emergency room at the San Giovanni di Dio and Ruggi d'Aragona hospital in Salerno today, causing no injuries or poisoning among patients or staff. The flames originated from the external air conditioning units installed in the emergency room, causing concern among those present.
The prompt intervention of firefighters, equipped with ladder trucks and fire engines, allowed the fire to be quickly extinguished. Work to secure the structure is currently continuing.
