Over the past weekend, the Naples Police Headquarters decided to strengthen its patrol services on the island of Ischia, particularly in the Ischia Port and surrounding areas.

The joint effort of the local police station, the Office of General Prevention and Public Aid, the Campania Crime Prevention Unit, and the Municipal Police led to the identification of 804 people, including 203 minors. Of these, 13 were in the care of their parents because they were under the age of 14.

During the inspections, 266 vehicles were also checked, resulting in one administrative seizure and four traffic violations. At the same time, four commercial establishments were inspected, resulting in administrative fines totaling €1.120.

An owner was reported for failing to notify the occupants and fined for several bureaucratic irregularities, including failing to submit the SCIA (Certified Notification of Commencement of Business) and failing to display the CIN (National Identification Code) and the name of the establishment.

These intensified controls are a direct response to the most recent news events affecting the island, with a view to greater safety and compliance with current regulations.
