During a large-scale nighttime patrol in the Bagnoli neighborhood of Naples, Carabinieri officers from the local unit intensified checks on people and vehicles, aiming to combat illegal activities and ensure public safety. Eighty-two people were identified and 32 vehicles were checked.
During the service, 12 traffic fines were issued and 3 people were reported to the Prefecture for personal use of narcotics.
Of particular note was the arrest of a 38-year-old man, caught inside a club with various quantities of drugs: approximately 4 grams of cocaine, 26 grams of marijuana, 20 grams of hashish, and one gram of crack. Officers also seized packaging materials and €427 in cash, believed to be the proceeds of drug dealing. The man was placed under house arrest pending trial.
During the operation, a 49-year-old man was also reported riding a stolen scooter. The patrol will continue in the coming weeks to maintain high levels of vigilance in the city's most sensitive areas.
