Naples – A judicial breakthrough occurred yesterday morning at the Naples Review Court, Section XII (Panel D), which accepted the appeal presented by the defense, ordering the release from prison of Carmine Iacuaniello, born in 1997, and the simultaneous application of house arrest at his home.
Iacuaniello was arrested on July 18th in the raid that targeted 11 people linked to the so-called “Visionario” drug dealing center in Pianura, run by the boss Salvatore D'Anna.
The order follows arguments presented by lawyer Luca Gili, which were deemed well-founded by the Neapolitan judges, who overturned the previous precautionary custody order issued by the preliminary investigations judge of the Court of Naples, Dr. Della Ragione.
Iacuaniello was being held at the Poggioreale prison on particularly serious charges: conspiracy to traffic narcotics.
Following the preliminary hearing, the suspect has left prison and returned to his home, where he will serve a less severe precautionary measure than house arrest, pending further developments in the proceedings.
