The Carabinieri's extensive operations in central Naples continue. On the last day of the weekend, officers from the Naples Central Company intensified checks in the main nightlife areas, with a joint operation that also involved personnel from the Naples Local Health Authority and the Municipal Police.

During the operation, 62 people were identified and 27 vehicles were checked, while 21 traffic violations were issued. Three people were also reported to the Prefecture for possession of narcotics for personal use.

Checks on the premises

The operation involved the restaurant sector. The military, together with staff from the Naples Local Health Authority, conducted checks at five bars and restaurants.

The inspections revealed serious hygiene and sanitation deficiencies, resulting in seven regulations being issued to the affected businesses. A warning was also issued for the presence of a non-compliant sign.

The operation thus confirms the police's focus on Naples' nightlife areas, where checks are aimed not only at preventing and combating crime, but also at road safety, protecting public health, and ensuring businesses comply with regulations.

Illegal parking attendants despite the Dacur

The investigation also resulted in two reports of illegal parking attendant activities. A 67-year-old and a 32-year-old Neapolitan man were caught practicing their profession illegally in the Chiaia neighborhood.

For both of them, the violation takes on further significance: they were in fact already subject to Dacur, the ban on access to urban areas, which prevented them from being in the areas affected by the checks.
A 19-year-old was also charged with illegal possession of a weapon. He was found in possession of a knife approximately 20 centimeters long.

A special surveillance subject in handcuffs

A 37-year-old man was arrested, under special surveillance and required to remain at his home during the night. The Carabinieri caught him outside his home, violating the measures imposed by the measure.
During the search, the man was also found in possession of a 16-centimeter knife. He was arrested and, following the completion of the formal procedures, was held at the disposal of the judicial authorities pending trial.
