Gianturco's house
Naples – A tense afternoon ended without dramatic consequences thanks to the patience of the negotiators and the prompt intervention of law enforcement. After more than four hours of grueling negotiations, the man who had barricaded himself inside his home on Via Gianturco since 16:00 PM decided to abandon the attempt, voluntarily opening the door to the Carabinieri.
The alarm was raised following a report to the operations center. Once on site, the military immediately secured the area, adopting decisive precautionary measures to avert any risk: the building's gas and electricity supplies were promptly cut off to avoid tragic consequences.
Realizing it was impossible to continue the protest, the man chose to cooperate. When the door was opened, he appeared visibly shaken by what had happened, but was essentially calm and non-aggressive. Emergency medical services, who were on the scene with an ambulance, administered first aid to assess his physical and mental condition.
The resident's motivation for the display remains unknown. After medical checks were completed on site, the man was escorted to the nearby Carabinieri station, where he will be interviewed by investigators to determine the reasons that led him to barricade himself in his home.
