The new Serie A season is also taking shape with the first referee appointments officially announced by Daniele Orsato, the new head of the Serie A Committee. For Italian champions Napoli, their 2026-2027 championship debut will be entrusted to Marco Di Bello from Brindisi, who will referee the match at the Ferraris stadium against Genoa.
The match is scheduled for Saturday, August 22nd at 8:45 PM and will be the Azzurri's first competitive league match. It will be an exciting match for the Neapolitan team, who are looking to defend the Scudetto they won last season.
Marco Di Bello has been appointed as the referee for Genoa vs. Napoli. The Apulian referee will be a key figure on Matchday 1, which kicks off Saturday at 6:30 PM with Inter vs. Monza, with Livio Marinelli from Tivoli taking charge.
At the same time, Udinese-Como will be played, with a Campanian presence on the pitch: Alberto Ruben Arena in Torre del Greco will referee the match.
At 8:45 pm, in addition to Genoa-Napoli, Parma-Cagliari is scheduled, which will be refereed by Daniele Perenzoni from Rovereto.
The schedule continues on Sunday, August 23rd, with four matches. At 6:30 PM, Frosinone-Juventus will be played, refereed by Giovanni Ayroldi of Molfetta, and Venezia-Lecce, refereed by Antonio Rapuano of Rimini.
At 8:45 p.m., Atalanta-Sassuolo will be refereed by Valerio Crezzini of Siena, while Torino-Milan will be refereed by Luca Zufferli of Udine.
Matchday one will conclude on Monday, August 24th with two postponed matches. At 6:30 PM, Bologna-Lazio will be refereed by Fabio Maresca of Naples, while Roma-Fiorentina will be played at the Olimpico at 8:45 PM, with Matteo Marcenaro of Genoa appointed as the match referee.
