"This is a very important year for the entire club, for us and for the Neapolitan people. The centenary is an added responsibility," the Italian defender told Sky Sport, emphasizing the symbolic value of a special year for the club.

At the heart of the new project is Massimiliano Allegri, a coach Spinazzola has known in the past and who is now guiding Napoli towards new goals. "The coach is still the same, very level-headed, he likes to joke around and build rapport with everyone, but he makes us push really hard during training," the full-back explained.

The comparison with Antonio Conte's previous management doesn't lead to comparisons, but rather to a continuity of purpose. "I don't see any differences with what we did under Mr. Conte. They're different, but they both have the same goal: victory, and we're working towards that," Spinazzola added.

The new coach demands intensity and courage from the team: "Allegri asks us to play and press with courage and to be compact when others have control of the game. He asks us to do this and to have fun."

Among the tactical certainties of the new season seems to be the four-man defense. Spinazzola highlights the work still to be done on the left side: "They've been playing on the right by heart for 5-6 years, they know each other very well, we on the left need to work harder."

His thoughts also turn to the Champions League, a prestigious but complex challenge for Napoli. "The Champions League is a whole other level. There are teams that are much stronger financially and in terms of players," said the defender.

With the new competition format, however, the chances of advancing beyond the first stage also increase: "Everything depends a lot on the draw, on who you get in the knockout stages. We need to grow and put in a lot of hard work for a great season."
