A 26-year-old Moroccan man, illegally residing in Italy, was arrested in Salerno after stealing a smartphone from a parked van. The Municipal Police recovered the device and initiated legal proceedings.

Yesterday in Salerno, in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, officers from the Municipal Police's Motorcycle Unit arrested a 26-year-old Moroccan man for stealing a smartphone from a parked van. The device was promptly recovered and returned to its rightful owner.
Subsequent checks revealed that the man has a significant criminal record and is illegally residing in Italy. After completing identification procedures, the 26-year-old was reported to the Judicial Authorities for violations of the Consolidated Law on Immigration and for the crime of damage. Furthermore, the Salerno Police Chief issued a new removal order against him.
