Two Luxembourg-based brothers arrested for murdering a bouncer.

Sangineto – A decisive turning point has been reached in the investigation into the fatal beating that occurred on the night of August 8th outside the "Il Castello" nightclub in Sangineto. Investigators have executed a warrant for the arrest of two brothers originally from Calabria but resident in Luxembourg: Domenico Orsino, 22, and Umberto Orsino, 24. The former is a player on the Grand Duchy's national rugby team, while the latter works as a physiotherapist.

In front of the public prosecutor of the Paola Public Prosecutor's Office, coordinated by Chief Prosecutor Domenico Fiordalisi, the two young men exercised their right to remain silent.

From a fight in a nightclub to a fatal beating

According to the initial reconstruction by the police and Carabinieri, the tragedy apparently took place inside the nightclub, where an argument broke out between the victim—34-year-old Antonio Perrotta—and the two brothers over trivial matters. The argument then escalated outside the club, escalating into an extremely violent attack.

Rescued and rushed to the hospital by a friend, Perrotta was later transferred to the Cosenza hospital in critical condition. There, his heart stopped beating the following day. Footage captured by video surveillance systems in the area and at the nightclub proved crucial in framing the two alleged perpetrators.

The victim's profile and the shadows on the nightclub

Antonio Perrotta lived in Fuscaldo with his wife and four children. To support his family, he worked as a laborer at a local company during the day and as a security guard at local businesses at night.

The mother in tears: "They killed him."

The victim's mother and brother, Nazzareno Perrotta, are demanding justice. "They killed him," the woman tearfully told TG1. Antonio, a private company worker by day and a bodyguard by night to make ends meet, leaves behind his partner and four children, the youngest of whom is less than a year old.

In the hours immediately following the death, the management of "Il Castello" released a statement distancing themselves from the incident, maintaining that the 34-year-old was not an employee and that no violent incident had occurred inside or on the premises. However, investigators' reconstruction contradicted this version: the Cosenza Police Headquarters ordered the immediate suspension of the establishment's operations for 15 days for reasons of public order and safety.
