Faced with the ongoing seismic events affecting the Campi Flegrei area and several municipalities in the metropolitan city of Naples, the credit sector is taking steps to provide an initial economic lifeline to the population and the local productive fabric.

UniCredit has announced the immediate activation of a package of extraordinary measures aimed at families, freelancers, and businesses affected by the earthquake. In accordance with the directives issued by the competent authorities, eligible customers will be able to request a suspension of mortgage and loan payments, according to the requirements and procedures set forth by current legislation.

To expedite procedures and minimize waiting times, the institute's network of local branches has already been mobilized to provide direct assistance to applicants and guide them through the process of accessing benefits.

"Our priority is to provide clients with immediately usable tools, because in times of emergency, financial continuity cannot wait for bureaucracy," explained Ferdinando Natali, UniCredit's Regional Manager for Southern Italy. "The bank is responding with a consolidated operating model, already tested in other critical situations that have affected the country, rapidly making dedicated resources available. This confirms UniCredit's commitment to remain at the local communities' side and provide concrete support through every stage of recovery."
