Pozzuoli – Emergency response efforts have been launched in the Phlegraean Fields following the 4.7 magnitude earthquake that struck the area on July 31. In Pozzuoli, the Naples ring road and Amplia Infrastructures, a construction company part of the Autostrade per l'Italia Group, intervened to secure Via Fasano, one of the main roads leading to the city's port.
The operation was launched immediately after a request from the National Civil Protection Agency, the Provincial Fire Brigade Command, and the Municipality of Pozzuoli, with the aim of quickly restoring safety.
Operational teams worked nonstop throughout the night, completing the intervention before dawn. Specifically, ten New Jersey ET100 barriers and related signage were installed along a stretch of approximately 60 meters, allowing the affected area to be stabilized.
The rapidity of the intervention allowed the safety requirements necessary for road traffic to be guaranteed again.
Thanks to the completion of the work, Via Fasano was reopened as of Sunday morning, thus restoring access to the port of Pozzuoli, a strategic infrastructure for maritime connections to the islands in the Gulf of Naples.
The return of the road to full functionality represents a fundamental step towards limiting inconvenience to residents and ensuring the continuity of sea connections.
Tangenziale di Napoli has announced that its teams, along with the vehicles and personnel of the Autostrade per l'Italia Group, will remain at the disposal of the authorities for any further interventions related to the seismic emergency in the Campi Flegrei, supporting the safety measures in the area.
