Zola returns to the national team: he will lead the youth sector projects at Club Italia.

Gianfranco Zola returns to the Azzurri, this time off the pitch. The former national team champion joins Club Italia as coordinator of youth activities projects, a position strongly supported by FIGC president Giovanni Malagò and Club Italia president Claudio Ranieri.

The appointment completes the organizational chart of the federal structure that coordinates the management and development of all national teams. The decision was also shared with Lega Pro President Matteo Marani and will allow Zola to maintain his current role as Deputy Vice President of the League.

FIGC President Giovanni Malagò expressed his satisfaction, explaining the reasons for his choice. "His charisma, his preparation, and his commitment to young players, demonstrated in recent years in Lega Pro, represent the best foundation for building our future," he stated.

Malagò then thanked the former playmaker for accepting the new role. "I thank him for accepting it with enthusiasm, willingness, and responsibility. With Ranieri, Mancini, and Zola, we want to build a new vision for Italian football," the federation president concluded.

For Zola, this is a symbolic return to the Azzurri world, with a mission aimed at developing young talent and developing the future of the Italian national team.
