A 63-year-old Italian man was arrested in Germany for sexually abusing a minor in Naples.

Italian law enforcement, working with German police, arrested a 63-year-old man accused of aggravated sexual assault and child pornography against a ten-year-old girl.

The man, an Italian citizen, was identified and arrested in Germany pursuant to a European arrest warrant issued by the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office. The investigation, conducted by the Naples Flying Squad and coordinated by the Office's section dedicated to vulnerable groups, revealed that the 63-year-old had repeatedly subjected the minor to sexual abuse, documenting the abuse with photos and videos.

The operation was coordinated by Deputy Prosecutor Giancarlo Novelli and Prosecutor Nicola Gratteri, who requested the European arrest warrant. The arrest represents a significant achievement in the fight against child exploitation and abuse.
