After safety checks and license updates, the Agnano racetrack is back in operation with trotting and gallop races scheduled for mid-August.

The Agnano Racetrack reopens for racing: green light after post-earthquake safety checks.
The Agnano racetrack is preparing to welcome back racing enthusiasts following the earthquake that struck the Campi Flegrei area on July 31st. New Agnano Arena & Races srl has announced the green light for operations, thanks to the renewal of its operating and betting licenses, as well as the positive results of structural inspections conducted to ensure the safety of the facilities.
Trotting races will resume on Thursday, August 13th, at 6:30 PM, followed by gallop races on Monday, August 17th, at 7:00 PM. However, in accordance with the instructions of the Provincial Commission for the Supervision of Public Entertainment Venues, some areas will be temporarily closed to the public until the ongoing work is completed.
Pier Luigi D'Angelo, CEO of the company, emphasized the efforts made to ensure a safe and functional environment, thanking local and national institutions, unions, and racetrack workers for their commitment during this delicate phase. A €10 entrance fee has also been introduced to better control access.
At the same time, the process for signing the agreement with the City of Naples is underway, entrusting management of the facility to New Agnano Arena & Races for the next 35 years. This important step will ensure the stability and development of the racecourse, a symbol of tradition and sporting excellence in the Phlegraean Fields area.
