Volla, 16-year-old stabbed for looking too much
Volla – Another night of violence, bloodshed, and knives among young people in Naples and the surrounding province. An escalation that appears unstoppable. The latest incident occurred last night. Shortly after midnight, tensions escalated to the metropolitan area, triggering an emergency at the Ospedale del Mare.
A sixteen-year-old boy arrived by ambulance or accompanied by friends, bleeding from a deep wound to his right arm.
According to initial reports, the attack took place near the municipal park in Volla—an area recently sealed off and declared a "red zone" by the Prefecture—at the height of a violent fight that broke out outside a club.
Futile motives, perhaps one look too many, triggered the fuse of blind madness. Treated by paramedics, the minor was discharged with a ten-day prognosis, but was unable or unwilling to provide concrete evidence to identify his attacker.
Investigators are carefully analyzing footage from security cameras near the Volla club and the town park, looking for evidence to help close the loop on a night that dramatically brought the issue of safety and the uncontrolled circulation of cutting weapons among young people back into the spotlight.
A significant breakthrough could also come from the injured youth's cooperation, and a contribution in this direction could come from the family, who should convince the minor to provide details to investigators to identify his attackers.
