A 47-year-old man with a criminal record was arrested last night in Pianura by the State Police after attempting to force open the gates of a fuel depot and assaulting the officers who intervened.
Pianura: 47-year-old arrested for attempted theft and resisting police
Yesterday evening, in Pianura, the State Police arrested a 47-year-old man, already known to law enforcement, for resisting arrest and assaulting a public official. The operation was triggered by a report to the Operations Room: someone was attempting to force open the entrance gate of a fuel depot on Via Domenico Padula using a grinder.
Officers from the Office of General Prevention and Public Rescue arrived on the scene and found the man near the lock. During the search, he became hostile, and a fight ensued, leading to his arrest.
The investigation revealed that the gate plate had been damaged. The man was arrested for resisting arrest and assaulting a public official and charged with attempted aggravated theft.
