A 14-year-old in Falciano del Massico was attacked and robbed of his cell phone. A 54-year-old man was reported.

Falciano del Massico – A 14-year-old boy was allegedly attacked and robbed of his iPhone 12 Pro Max inside the municipal park in Falciano del Massico. This is according to a complaint filed by the boy's father on September 10 at the local Carabinieri station.

According to the reconstruction provided to investigators, the incident occurred late on the evening of September 8th, between approximately 11:00 PM and 11:30 PM. The 14-year-old boy was approached by a man in his 50s who, for no apparent reason, attacked him by pushing and kicking him, then took his cell phone and quickly drove away in a dark-colored car.

After the attack, the minor was taken by his father to the emergency room of the San Rocco hospital in Sessa Aurunca, where he underwent medical checks and was subsequently discharged with a seven-day prognosis.

Upon receiving the complaint, the Carabinieri of the Falciano del Massico station began an investigation to reconstruct the events and identify the alleged perpetrator. Over the following days, the officers took statements, acquired and reviewed video surveillance footage, and conducted photographic identification.

The evidence gathered led the investigation to a local man, born in 1972, who was also recognized by the victim. Following the investigation, the 54-year-old was reported at large to the judicial authorities as a serious suspect in the crime of robbery involving the minor.

The suspect's position will now be submitted to the competent judicial authority for evaluation. The proceedings are in the preliminary investigation phase, and therefore, the man must be presumed not guilty until a final conviction is issued.
