Giugliano: 53-year-old man wanted for stalking, found in a hotel in Casoria

Giugliano – A 53-year-old man, seriously suspected of stalking and aggravated home invasion against his ex-partner, escaped arrest on September 12th and remained unaccounted for for approximately ten days. The investigation by the Carabinieri of the Giugliano in Campania Company's operational unit was successful, tracing him to a hotel in Casoria.

Pursuant to the precautionary custody order issued by the Court of Naples North at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, the man was to be taken to prison. Despite his initial escape, surveillance of the victim continued, with constant and discreet monitoring by law enforcement.

 The man threatened and stalked the victim

The investigative reconstruction shows that the victim was stalked and threatened by the suspect. During the nighttime operation in Casoria, the man provided false information, but this did not prevent his arrest. The 53-year-old was transferred to prison and is being held by the judicial authorities.

The activities followed repeated behaviors against his ex-partner between July and September, culminating in the issuance of a pre-trial detention order that led to his arrest. The arrested man is now at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
